Music at St. Andrew's presents its second annual FREE dramatic reading of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Historic St. Andrew’s Church , lit by candles, will provide an atmospheric setting for Dickens’ beloved Victorian tale.
Bringing his colourful characters to life will be classical music educator Rick Phillips, CBC broadcaster Mary Wiens, First Nations mezzo-soprano Marion Newman and tenor Joseph Angelo. Between readings, St. Andrew’s renowned professional choir and the Congregational choir will perform popular carols, including a special arrangement of Good King Wenceslas. There will also be audience sing-alongs with organ accompaniment. Everyone's invited to the reception afterwards for gingerbread cookies and hot apple cider. Donations will be collected for the Out of the Cold program at St. Andrew's Church. Website and more info: http://standrewstoronto.org/events/event-details/?action=evrplusegister&event_id=17
